A UCSF-trained, no-nonsense psychiatric provider with 23+ years of experience
I'm a UCSF graduate and Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 23 years of experience across psychiatric emergency services, non-profit community organizations, hospitals, and private practice in Seattle and San Francisco.
In addition to compassionate, evidence-based mental health care, my patients benefit from direct access to me and timely responses. As a nurse, I pride myself on being practical, caring, collaborative, direct, no-nonsense and highly capable of problem-solving and finding solutions.
I'm originally from the Bay Area. I live and work in San Francisco now, while maintaining licensure in NY and WA. I openly identify as a lesbian and am bi-ethnic of Mexican heritage — some patients prefer working with queer and POC providers, and I want you to know who you're working with.

A note on healing
"We don't so much solve our problems as we outgrow them. We add capacities and experiences that eventually make us bigger than the problems."— Carl Jung
Depression and anxiety are often not merely chemical imbalances; they can be a necessary part of our transformation cycle. Medications work best alongside psychotherapy and lifestyle changes — not as a replacement for them.

Questions? We have answers.
No. Many patients come in wondering whether they have ADHD. I offer diagnostic evaluations as part of our work together. If you already have a diagnosis, we can start with treatment planning right away.
I provide in-person visits in downtown San Francisco and telehealth visits for residents of California, New York, and Washington. All telehealth is conducted on a HIPAA-compliant platform.
The first visit is typically 60–90 minutes. We'll discuss your history, current symptoms, goals, and any concerns you have about medication. There is no pressure to start medication immediately — this is a conversation, not a prescription.
Yes, when clinically appropriate. I also prescribe non-stimulant options such as atomoxetine, bupropion, clonidine, and guanfacine. We'll discuss the risks, benefits, and your preferences to find the best fit.
Out-of-pocket fees are $450 for a new patient intake (60–90 minutes) and $200 for established patient follow-ups. I accept Aetna and United directly. For other plans, I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. ADHD-friendly Concierge Plans are also available starting at $1,999/year for unlimited visits and direct access.
Concierge Plans replace traditional visit-based care with a flat-fee annual model. They're built for busy professionals who want unlimited access without scheduling friction. All plans include unlimited medication management visits, priority access for urgent issues, direct text/phone/email with Liz, Genomind genetic testing as indicated, a discreet office (not labeled as psychiatric), and an ADHD-Preparedness Kit. Pricing: Basic $1,999/yr, Enhanced Access $3,999/yr (adds 1 hour-long session/month), Premier $7,499/yr (adds 2 hour-long sessions/month).
I aim to offer new patient appointments within 1–2 weeks. Urgent concerns are prioritized. If you need crisis support right now, please call the 24-hour hotline at (415) 781-0500 or visit sfsuicide.org.
Absolutely. I am committed to providing a supportive, affirming atmosphere for LGBTQ+ individuals. Your identity is respected and integrated into your care, never pathologized.
While I specialize in medication management, I believe medications work best alongside psychotherapy and lifestyle changes. I can provide referrals to trusted therapists in the Bay Area and beyond.
